Karis Elizabeth Almy was born on June 29, 2009. On December 4, 2009 she was diagnosed with an extremely rare disease called Krabbe. Since her diagnosis we have received an incredible amount of support and are often asked how Karis is doing and how best to pray for us. This blog is going to contain the latest updates on Karis’ condition as well as prayer requests, pictures, scripture, and Trevor and Katie’s thoughts. Please join us as we plead with our Heavenly Father to spare Karis’ life and watch Him glorify Himself as He reveals His plan for us. Thank you for being part of our journey.

I graduated from Berry College in Rome, Georgia in 2006 with a Bachelors of Arts in English and a concenration in creative writing. I started taking classes at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS this fall in pursuit of a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts.
Katie
I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in public health. I enrolled in the University of South Alabama Accelerated Nursing program in 2008 and graduated in 2009. I had planned on supporting Trevor through seminary with my nursing degree, but the Lord had other plans. I am now Karis' full-time nurse and couldn't think of a more wonderful patient.
US
We met each other while we were in college and were married on August 11, 2007 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. As soon as we were married we moved to Mobile, Alabama for Katie to go to nursing school. We're now living in Clinton, Mississippi where Trevor is in school at RTS. We are both passionate about raising a Covenant family and try to exercise our theology as much as we read about it.
